Ms. Girard is well known in the Francophone community of Ontario. She is leaving her position as Executive Director of Centres d’Accueil Héritage, which she held for almost five years after serving as Assistant Executive Director for four years. Ms. Girard holds a B.A. in Translation as well as an MBA. In the past, she has held several management positions in the private sector, including at Heathmount A.E. A fervent believer in the importance of getting involved in the Francophone community, Ms. Girard also served as Chair and member of the Board of Directors of several Francophone community organizations.
“We are delighted to welcome Ms. Girard. We are convinced that her accomplishments, her leadership and her excellent managerial skills will benefit ACÉPO. Under the direction of Isabelle Girard and with the expertise of our present team, ACÉPO will be able to make an even greater contribution to secular education in French in Ontario”, declared Mr. Denis Chartrand, ACÉPO Chair.
“French-language education plays an essential role in the vitality of our Francophone communities”, explained Ms. Girard. “ACÉPO will give me the opportunity to contribute daily to developing a strong French-language secular education system that meets the needs of a vibrant and multicultural Francophone population. It is, therefore, with great enthusiasm that I am joining the ACÉPO team.”
